When Algebra starts feeling frustrating, many students only increase quantity. A better first move is to reset the structure.
Reset plan
- Choose one narrow topic, not the whole chapter.
- Review one worked example slowly.
- Ask the student to explain why each move happened.
- Practice only a small set of similar problems.
- End by solving one problem independently without notes.
This approach often reveals whether the real issue is memory, concept understanding, or attention to detail.
