When Algebra starts feeling frustrating, many students only increase quantity. A better first move is to reset the structure.

Reset plan

  • Choose one narrow topic, not the whole chapter.
  • Review one worked example slowly.
  • Ask the student to explain why each move happened.
  • Practice only a small set of similar problems.
  • End by solving one problem independently without notes.

This approach often reveals whether the real issue is memory, concept understanding, or attention to detail.
